Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes that encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins are implicated in oncogenesis and several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
WNT10B may be involved in breast cancer, and its protein signaling is likely a molecular switch governing adipogenesis.
This protein shows 96% identity with the mouse Wnt10b protein at the amino acid level and is clustered with WNT1 in the chromosome 12q13 region.
