Target Information
TCTN1은 Tectonic 단백질군의 창립 멤버로, 진화적으로 보존된 분비 및 막단백질로 구성되어 있으며 Hedgehog (Hh) 매개 신호전달을 통한 신경관 패턴 형성에 관여합니다. 배아 발생 과정에서 TCTN1은 Hh 신호에 참여하는 영역에서 발현되며, 돌연변이 TCTN1을 발현하는 생쥐는 E13.5~E16.5 사이에 사망하고 holoprosencephaly를 나타내어 TCTN1이 Hh 활성화 인자로 작용함을 시사합니다. 후기 발생 단계에서는 신경관의 앞뒤 영역에서 Hh 경로 억제자로 작용하는 것으로 추정됩니다.
