Nuclear receptor TLX (NR2 hepatocyte NF4-like receptor)는 전뇌 분화, 망막 발달 및 시각에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. TLX는 망막 발달 중 RAR beta2 및 Pax2 유전자 발현을 조절하는 것으로 제안되었습니다. TLX 결손 생쥐는 출생 시 생존 가능하지만 전뇌 발달이 감소하고 야생형보다 공격적입니다. TLX 유전자 결실 생쥐는 뇌저형성, 실명 및 극단적 공격성을 나타냅니다. TLX 발현은 생쥐의 뇌와 눈에서 확인되었으며, 정상 인간 뇌 라이브러리에서 EST가 분리되었습니다.
