Target Information
EXOSC6는 RNA exosome 복합체의 비촉매 구성 요소로, 3′→5′ exoribonuclease 활성을 가지며 RNA 처리 및 분해 과정에 관여합니다.
핵 내에서는 rRNA, snRNA, snoRNA 등의 안정적 RNA 성숙과 RNA 처리 부산물 제거, 비암호화 RNA 및 PROMPTs 제거에 관여합니다.
세포질에서는 일반 mRNA turnover 및 AU-rich element(ARE)를 포함한 불안정 mRNA의 선택적 분해를 담당하며, RNA 감시 경로를 통해 비정상 mRNA의 번역을 방지합니다.
또한 Ig class switch recombination(CSR) 및 somatic hypermutation(SHM)에 관여할 수 있으며, histone mRNA 분해에도 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
Catalytic inactive RNA exosome core complex(Exo-9)는 RNA 결합 및 리보뉴클레이즈 활성에 중요한 구조적 역할을 합니다.
