TA 막 단백질은 단일 C-말단 막관통 영역을 가지는 type II 막 단백질로, BAT3 복합체는 ASNA1/TRC40에 의한 TA 단백질 포획을 촉진합니다.
이 복합체는 막 단백질을 합성하는 리보솜에 모집되어 새로 방출된 TA 단백질의 막관통 영역과 상호작용하고, 이를 ASNA1/TRC40으로 전달하여 표적화합니다.
