Target Information
Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) is a protein tyrosine kinase involved in interferon-alpha/beta and -gamma signal transduction pathways. Upon stimulation by interferons and cytokines, JAK1 recruits Stat transcription factors to cytokine receptors, phosphorylating them to activate transcriptional regulation. Tyrosine phosphorylation at residues 1022 and 1023 is critical for catalytic activation.
