Myosin은 헥사머성 ATPase 세포 운동 단백질로, 두 개의 heavy chain, 두 개의 nonphosphorylatable alkali light chain, 두 개의 phosphorylatable regulatory light chain으로 구성되어 있습니다.
이 유전자는 smooth muscle 및 non-muscle 조직에서 발현되는 myosin alkali light chain을 암호화하며, 여러 pseudogene과 두 가지 isoform을 가지는 전사체 변이가 보고되었습니다.
