Target Information
HAUS2 is one of eight subunits of the 390-kD human augmin (HAUS) complex. The augmin complex, first identified in Drosophila, derives its name from the Latin "augmentare," meaning “to increase.” It is a microtubule-binding complex involved in microtubule generation within the mitotic spindle and plays a critical role in mitotic spindle assembly (Goshima et al., 2008; Uehara et al., 2009).
