Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Haptoglobin is an α2-globulin plasma protein synthesized in the liver. It functions as an acute phase protein and acts as a scavenger for hemoglobin from lysed red blood cells.
The haptoglobin monomer consists of two α and two β chains; α chains may be hp1Fa, hp1Sa, or hp2a types, while the β chain is constant.
Three major phenotypes are recognized: HP1-1, HP2-1, and HP2-2, with hp1a chains existing as either F or S types.
