Target Information
The product of this gene belongs to a small family of adapter proteins that interact with receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling molecules. It encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein that interacts with EGFR and ephrin receptors. GRB7 plays a role in integrin signaling and cell migration via binding with focal adhesion kinase (FAK). Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms, with two full-length variants identified to date.
