Target Information
RAB21은 Ras 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 소형 GTP 결합 단백질 유전자 아형으로, 세포 내 소포체 타겟팅에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비극성 Caco-2 세포에서는 ER-유사 위치에서 발현되며, 극성 세포에서는 apical vesicle에 위치합니다. RAB21은 integrin 서브유닛과 결합하여 RAB5/RAB21 endosome을 통한 수용체 진입에 관여합니다. 또한 GTPase-활성화 단백질 p120RasGAP은 endocytosed integrin의 세포막 복귀를 조절하며, RAB21과 경쟁적으로 integrin α-tail 결합 부위에 작용합니다.
