Target Information
Leucine-rich repeats (LRRs) are 20–29 amino acid motifs that mediate protein-protein interactions, providing a structural framework for diverse biological functions. LRR-containing proteins participate in processes such as innate immunity and nervous system development. Mutations in these proteins are linked to various human diseases.
LRRC15 (Leucine-rich repeat-containing protein 15, also known as LIB) is a 581 amino acid protein with 15 LRR repeats. It plays a role in cell-cell and extracellular matrix interactions and is frequently overexpressed in multiple tumor types, especially breast carcinoma. LRRC15 is also associated with the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease.
