Target Information
Slug (SNAI2)는 C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor로, Snail family에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 상피-중배엽 전이 및 신경관 형성에 관여하며, FGF, BMP, TGF-beta 등의 성장인자에 의해 발현이 유도됩니다. Slug는 E-box 영역에 결합하여 E-cadherin, Claudin-1 등의 유전자의 전사를 억제합니다. 또한 유방암, 식도암, 대장암 등에서 높은 발현이 불량한 예후와 연관되어 있으며, p53 매개 Puma 전사를 억제하여 조혈 전구세포를 방사선 유도 세포사멸로부터 보호합니다.
