Target Information
핵-세포질 수송은 신호 및 에너지 의존적인 과정으로, 핵막에 내장된 핵공복합체를 통해 일어납니다. 핵 내 이동에는 importin α 및 β로 구성된 NLS 수입 수용체 복합체가 필요하며, 이는 karyopherins로도 알려져 있습니다. Importin α는 NLS를 포함하는 단백질을 세포질에서 결합하고, importin β는 이를 핵공복합체의 세포질 측에 도킹시킵니다. 이후 GTP 결합 단백질 Ran과 뉴클레오타이드 삼인산의 존재하에 복합체는 핵공을 통과하며, importin α는 탑재 단백질과 함께 핵질로 이동하고 importin β는 핵공에 남습니다. Importin β와 nucleoporin의 FG 반복 서열 간의 상호작용은 이 과정에서 필수적입니다. 본 유전자는 importin β 패밀리에 속하는 단백질을 암호화합니다.
