Target Information
Tryptase is a serine protease predominantly found in mast cells. It plays a key role in immune responses by cleaving and activating proteins involved in inflammation and tissue repair. Additionally, Tryptase contributes to blood pressure regulation and is implicated in diseases such as asthma, allergies, and cardiovascular disorders. Structurally, it forms a tetramer of identical subunits and is activated by proteolytic cleavage of its proenzyme form.
