Target Information

LIME (Lck-interacting molecule) is a 30 kDa double-palmitoylated protein with a highly basic cytoplasmic domain expressed by T cells. Upon CD4 or CD8 coreceptor ligation, LIME is phosphorylated by Src-family kinases and associates with Lck, Fyn, and Csk. Csk-mediated phosphorylation of LIME-associated Lck can enhance enzymatic activity, making LIME a positive regulator of TCR-dependent T cell signaling. Under certain conditions, LIME may also mediate inhibitory signals.
