For larger sizes, aliquoting can reduce freeze/thaw cycles; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended.

Protein Form: Full Length

Target Information

PKN1 (PRK1) belongs to the protein kinase C superfamily. It is activated by Rho family small G proteins and may mediate Rho-dependent signaling pathways. This kinase can also be activated by phospholipids. PDPK1/PDK1 is reported to phosphorylate this kinase, mediating insulin signals to the actin cytoskeleton.
Proteolytic activation by caspase-3 or related proteases during apoptosis suggests its involvement in apoptotic signal transduction.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
