ENY2는 전사 조절 히스톤 아세틸화 복합체(SAGA)의 구성 요소로, 크로마틴 리모델링 및 히스톤 아세틸화/탈유비퀴틴화를 통해 전사를 활성화하는 다단백질 복합체의 일부입니다.
SAGA 복합체 내에서 H2A 및 H2B 히스톤을 탈유비퀴틴화하는 서브컴플렉스에 참여합니다.
MYC와 같은 활성자에 의해 특정 유전자 프로모터로 모집되어 전사에 필수적인 역할을 하며, 핵 수용체 매개 전사활성화에도 필요합니다.
또한 mRNA 수출 및 핵 내 크로마틴 위치 조정에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
