Target Information
Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 2 (SIPA1L2) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. Although the role of SIPA1L2 is not fully understood, studies suggest deregulation of SIPA proteins can cause myeloproliferative disorders in mice and increased metastasis in human cancers. SIPA1L1 has been implicated in embryonic development and cell proliferation, indicating that SIPA1L2 may also play roles in these processes and potentially in oncogenesis.
