This antibody is expected to recognize all reported Y-linked isoforms (NP_116753.1, NP_116754.1, NP_116755.1) and all reported X-linked isoforms (NP_055337.1, NP_116750.1, NP_116751.1).
Tested in Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8,000.
Target Information
This gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein consists of an extracellular domain containing 7 cadherin repeats, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail differing from classical cadherins. Located in an X/Y homologous region, the protein plays a key role in cell-cell recognition essential for central nervous system development. Alternative splicing generates isoforms with N- and C-terminal variation.
