Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are a group of highly conserved and abundantly expressed proteins involved in:
- Assembly and sequestration of multi-protein complexes
- Transport of nascent polypeptide chains across cellular membranes
- Regulation of protein folding
HSPA14 (heat shock 70kDa protein 14), also known as HSP70-4 or HSP70L1, is a 509 amino acid protein derived from human dendritic cells.
It belongs to the heat shock protein 70 family and is thought to promote dendritic cell maturation.
HSPA14 may stimulate secretion of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-12p70, IL-1β, TNFα, and chemokines including IP-10, MIP-1α, MIP-1β, and RANTES.
