Target Information
The nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) transcription complex regulates immune response-related protein expression. Four NFAT proteins—NFAT1 (NFATp/NFATc2), NFAT2 (NFATc/NFATc1), NFAT3, and NFAT4 (NFATx/NFATc3)—are encoded by separate genes and expressed as splice variants. NFAT5 differs from isoforms 1–4 in lacking Fos/Jun contact sites and being independent of calcineurin for subcellular localization.
