Thermo Fisher Scientific RapidFinder™ Chicken ID Kit

The RapidFinder™ Chicken ID Kit enables simple and reliable detection of chicken (Gallus gallus) DNA in food and feed samples using real-time PCR technology. Unlike ELISA-based methods, when used with the GMO Extraction Kit (Cat. No. 4466336) for sample preparation, this kit detects both raw and processed chicken with sensitivity down to 0.01% chicken DNA. A positive control (0.1% chicken DNA) is included to set the detection threshold.

작동 원리

Chicken DNA detection is performed by real-time PCR using a primer/probe set specific to mitochondrial DNA of Gallus gallus.

• Target sequence detected in FAM™ dye channel (specific for chicken DNA)
• Internal positive control detected in VIC™ dye channel (checks for PCR inhibitors)
• Positive control (0.1% chicken DNA in fish DNA background) provides detection threshold and assay verification

Applied Biosystems™ StepOne™, StepOnePlus™, 7500, 7500 Fast, and 7300 Real-Time PCR Systems.

DNA extraction is performed using the GMO Extraction Kit (Cat. No. 4466336).

• Uses 10 g sample size to minimize sampling error
• Compatible with raw and processed meat, and composite food samples

For quantification of chicken DNA after a positive result, use in conjunction with the RapidFinder™ Quant Multi-Meat Set (Cat. No. A24399).
