Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45589 was sufficient for detection of Synaptotagmin-7 in 20 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 45 kDa. Does not cross-react with Synaptotagmin-6 or others. Can identify other isoform bands at approximately 65 kDa.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S275-14.
Target Information
Synaptotagmin 7 is a member of the synaptotagmin gene family and encodes a protein involved in calcium-dependent regulation of membrane trafficking in synaptic transmission. In rodents, it mediates hormone secretion and lysosome exocytosis. In humans, expression has been associated with prostate cancer. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed.
