Target Information
Von Willebrand factor (vWF) is a series of self-aggregated structures derived from common glycoprotein subunits synthesized in endothelial cells and megakaryocytes. The monomeric vWF unit has a molecular mass of approximately 225 kDa. vWF binds to circulating factor VIIIc (antihemophilic factor), stabilizing it and playing an important role in normal primary haemostasis.
