Target Information
TRPC1 is thought to form a receptor-activated, non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. It is likely operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors, and may also be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. Interacts with ITPR3 and appears to be ubiquitously expressed.
