Target Information
The DSTN gene encodes an actin-depolymerizing protein belonging to the ADF family, which enhances actin turnover in vivo. The protein severs actin filaments (F-actin) and binds actin monomers (G-actin). Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
