The Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide Receptor 1 (VPAC1) is a G-protein coupled receptor that mediates VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) and PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase activating peptide) functions in various tissues. VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors form a subtype of VIP receptors, and their expression has been associated with human tumors.
