15-PGDH는 프로스타글란딘 불활성화에 관여하며, 프로스타글란딘 수준에 의해 조절되는 생리적 사건의 조절에 기여합니다. NAD 의존적 탈수소효소 반응을 통해 lipoxin A4를 15-oxo-lipoxin A4로 전환시키며, 대장암 세포의 생체 내 증식을 억제합니다.
