Target Information
DCXR 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 homotetramer 형태로 diacetyl reductase 및 L-xylulose reductase 반응을 촉매합니다.
이 단백질은 포도당 대사의 uronate cycle 및 신장 근위세뇨관의 세포 삼투 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자의 결함은 pentosuria의 원인이 되며, 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
