Target Information
Cytokeratin 8은 염색체 12의 장완에 위치한 type II keratin 계열 단백질로, type I keratin과 이합체를 형성하여 상피세포의 중간 필라멘트를 구성합니다. Keratin 8은 keratin 18과 주로 결합하여 단층 상피세포의 구조적 안정성을 유지하며, 신호 전달 및 세포 분화에도 관여합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 cryptogenic cirrhosis를 유발할 수 있습니다.
