Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies utilize proprietary dye chemistry for enhanced fluorescence intensity and improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to standard Alexa Fluor conjugates. These recombinant antibodies ensure high specificity and lot-to-lot consistency.
Usage Note:
Before use, centrifuge the conjugate solution briefly and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background staining caused by protein aggregates.
Applications Tested:
This ZO-1 antibody has been validated in:
- Immunohistochemistry of mouse testis tissue
- Immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry analysis of Caco-2 cells
Recommended concentration for flow cytometry: 0.063–0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Careful titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information
ZO-1 forms complexes with ZO-2 or ZO-3 and associates with claudin, occludin, and F-actin at tight junctions, linking the actin cytoskeleton to the junctional complex. ZO-1 expression is reduced in many breast cancer lines. It may play a role in signal transduction at cell-cell junctions. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms are known.
Diseases associated with ZO-1 dysfunction include Celiac Disease and Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome.
