Target Information
CD84 is expressed on mature B cells and B cell lines, including pre-B cell lines, but not on plasma cell lines. Immunohistochemical studies have shown strong expression on tissue macrophages. CD84 is also highly expressed on platelets and at lower levels on peripheral blood T cells. It is a highly glycosylated protein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and may play a role in leukocyte activation.
