Target Information

Tis7, also known as IFRD1, is a 442-amino-acid membrane-associated, non-nuclear intracellular protein belonging to the IFRD family. It is a regulatory protein expressed in various tissues and plays an important role in gene activity regulation during proliferative and differentiative pathways induced by NGF.
Reports suggest that Tis7 may function as an autocrine factor modulating ligand-induced signaling and enhancing adaptive responses by promoting the production of differentiated enterocytes.
Tis7 acts as a negative regulator of transcriptional activity and represses genes involved in myogenesis, muscle maintenance, and regeneration via a histone deacetylase-dependent mechanism.
