This antibody is predicted to react with bovine and porcine species based on sequence homology.

Target Information

FOXO1 (FKHR, Forkhead Box O1) is a transcription factor belonging to the forkhead family. It can function as a coactivator or corepressor of nuclear receptor activity via the LXXLL motif in the C-terminal region. FOXO1 interacts with PAX3 and is implicated in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. It plays roles in autophagy, myogenic differentiation, and tumor suppression.

FOXO1 is a key regulator in insulin signaling, metabolic homeostasis, and oxidative stress response. It binds to insulin response elements (IRE) and Daf-16 family binding elements (DBE), controlling redox balance, osteoblast number, and bone mass. In hepatocytes, FOXO1 promotes gluconeogenesis by activating genes such as IGFBP1, G6PC, and PPCK1 in cooperation with PPARGC1A. It also regulates glucose metabolism and suppresses RUNX2 activity, influencing osteocalcin expression.
