Target Information
The RARRES1 gene encodes a type 1 membrane protein that is responsive to retinoid acid (RA) receptors. Its expression is upregulated by tazarotene and RA receptors, but downregulated in prostate cancer due to promoter methylation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
