This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Rat LAIR1/LAIR-1/CD305.

Target Information

LAIR1 (CD305) functions as an inhibitory receptor that plays a constitutive negative regulatory role in the cytolytic function of natural killer (NK) cells, B-cells, and T-cells. Activation by Tyr phosphorylation results in recruitment and activation of phosphatases PTPN6 and PTPN11. It reduces intracellular calcium increases evoked by B-cell receptor ligation and modulates cytokine production in CD4+ T-cells, down-regulating IL2 and IFNG while inducing TGF-β secretion. Also down-regulates IgG and IgE production in B-cells and IL8, IL10, and TNF secretion. Inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis in myeloid leukemia cell lines, preventing nuclear translocation of NF-κB p65/RELA and phosphorylation of IκBα/CHUK. Inhibits differentiation of peripheral blood precursors toward dendritic cells.
