Target Information
Beta-amyloid is a 40–43 amino acid peptide cleaved from amyloid precursor protein by gamma-secretase. Amyloid beta (1-40) and Amyloid beta (1-42) are two major C-terminal variants of the amyloid beta protein, constituting the majority of amyloid beta proteins. Both alloforms are major components of the extracellular plaques found in Alzheimer’s disease brain tissue.
