Product Specific Information
Reconstitution: Add 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g for 5 min).
Target Information
Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent a complex class of voltage-gated ion channels with diverse physiological functions, including regulation of neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume.
Four sequence-related potassium channel genes—shaker, shaw, shab, and shal—were identified in Drosophila, each with human homologs.
This gene encodes a member of the voltage-gated potassium channel, shal-related subfamily, forming voltage-activated A-type potassium ion channels that are key in the repolarization phase of the action potential.
Two isoforms are produced by alternatively spliced transcript variants.
