Target Information
Rad1 is a component of a heterotrimeric PCNA-like complex containing Rad9 and Hus1 proteins. This 9-1-1 complex plays a key role in the cell cycle checkpoint response and DNA repair, associating with Rad17 and replication factor C components. Mutants can partially restore radiation resistance and G2-checkpoint activity, and Rad1 also exhibits exonuclease activity.
