Target Information
CEP72 is involved in the recruitment of key centrosomal proteins to the centrosome. It provides centrosomal microtubule-nucleation activity on the gamma-tubulin ring complexes (γ-TuRCs) and plays a critical role in forming a focused bipolar spindle, essential for proper tension generation between sister chromatids. It is required for localization of KIZ, AKAP9, and γ-tubulin ring complexes (γ-TuRCs).
