• Reactivity: ABS 062-33-02 binds human NGAL coated onto a solid phase.
• Can be used as a detection antibody in sandwich ELISA with capture antibodies HYB 211-01-02, HYB 211-02-02, ABS 038-04-02, ABS 038-14-02, ABS 038-15-02, ABS 038-23-02, ABS 038-26-02, and ABS 062-14-02.
• When used as a capture antibody with biotinylated detection antibody ABS 062-14-02, the assay is specific for NGAL monomer, cross-reacting less than 1% with NGAL homodimer.
• Concentration is lot-dependent and may vary from 0.85–1.15 mg/mL.

Target Information

NGAL (Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, also known as lipocalin 2, siderocalin, and neutrophil lipocalin) is a 25 kDa glycosylated single-chain monomer and a member of the lipocalin family. It binds and transports small lipophilic molecules and is released by activated neutrophils. NGAL can form dimers and higher oligomers and complexes with matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9, gelatinase B). Low-level expression occurs in various epithelia and increases during inflammation or cancer. Expression in the kidney is markedly elevated by ischemic or nephrotoxic injury.
