Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ITFG2.
Target Information
As part of the KICSTOR complex, ITFG2 functions in the amino acid-sensing branch of the TORC1 signaling pathway. It recruits the GATOR1 complex to lysosomal membranes, enabling interaction with GATOR2 and RAG GTPases. ITFG2 acts upstream of RAG GTPases and is required to negatively regulate mTORC1 signaling in the absence of amino acids. Without the KICSTOR complex, mTORC1 remains constitutively localized to the lysosome and activated. The KICSTOR complex may also be involved in glucose-mediated regulation of mTORC1.
