Target Information
The HOXC10 gene belongs to the homeobox family of genes, which encode highly conserved transcription factors involved in morphogenesis across multicellular organisms. Mammals have four homeobox clusters—HOXA, HOXB, HOXC, and HOXD—located on different chromosomes. HOXC10 is part of the HOXC cluster on chromosome 12. Its protein expression is regulated during cell differentiation and proliferation, suggesting a role in origin activation.
