Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag (also known as FLAG tag) is a short peptide sequence commonly used for protein purification, detection, and localization.
It consists of eight amino acids: Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys.
The tag can be fused to either the N- or C-terminus of a protein, enabling easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
Due to its hydrophilic nature, the FLAG tag minimally affects protein structure and function, making it ideal for molecular biology and biochemistry research.
