Target Information
GNS는 모든 세포에서 발견되는 리소좀 효소로, 헤파린, 헤파란 황산, 케라탄 황산의 분해에 관여합니다. 이 효소의 결핍은 분해되지 않은 기질의 축적을 초래하며, 리소좀 저장 질환인 Mucopolysaccharidosis type IIID (Sanfilippo D syndrome)을 유발합니다. Type IIID는 Sanfilippo 증후군의 네 가지 아형 중 가장 드뭅니다.
