Target Information
Interferon alpha (IFN-α)는 Type I interferon 계열에 속하며, 척추동물에서만 발견되는 구조적으로 유사한 단백질군입니다. IFN-α는 수용체와 결합하여 바이러스 감염에 대한 선천 면역 반응을 유도하는 다양한 신호 경로를 활성화합니다. 인간에서는 IFN-α 유전자가 염색체 9번에 위치하며, 14개의 알파 아형과 베타, 오메가, 엡실론, 카파 아형이 존재합니다. IFN-α는 주로 형질세포성 수지상세포(plasmacytoid dendritic cell)에 의해 생성되며, 항바이러스 선천 면역 반응의 핵심 구성 요소로 작용하고 적응 면역을 조절합니다. IFN-α 기능 이상은 간염 C형 및 간염 등의 질환과 관련이 있습니다.
