Target Information
Beta-arrestin-2 (ARRB2)는 arrestin 패밀리에 속하는 어댑터 단백질로, N- 및 C-arrestin 도메인을 가짐.
이 단백질은 G 단백질 결합 수용체(GPCR)의 탈감작화 과정에 관여하며, beta2-adrenergic receptor (beta2AR)의 기능을 조절함.
ARRB2는 인산화된 beta2AR에 결합하여 G(S) 단백질 활성화를 억제하고, AIP4와 함께 CXCR4의 엔도솜 분류 및 분해 경로로의 이동을 매개함.
또한 TSH 수용체의 호르몬 특이적 탈감작화에도 관여하며, 망막 외절편에서 Ca2+ 결합 단백질로 작용하여 P-rhodopsin과 결합하고 시냅스 전달에 참여함.
신경 조직 및 비장 등 대부분의 조직에서 광범위하게 발현됨.
