For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882) to ensure carrier-free conditions.

Target Information

Bromodeoxyuridine (5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine, BrdU) is a synthetic nucleoside analog of thymidine used to detect proliferating cells.
It incorporates into newly synthesized DNA during the S phase, substituting for thymidine.
BrdU-specific antibodies can detect incorporated BrdU, identifying cells actively replicating DNA.
Antibody binding requires DNA denaturation, typically by acid or heat treatment.
