This antibody detects endogenous levels of PNKP only when phosphorylated at Ser114.
Target Information
Anti-human Polynucleotide Kinase (PNK) antibody recognizes a 57 kDa nuclear enzyme involved in DNA strand repair during replication, recombination, or in response to DNA damage.
PNK acts on DNA termini (5’-hydroxy and 3’-phosphate) for phosphorylation and dephosphorylation, and associates with nuclear proteins to facilitate the actions of DNA polymerase-β and DNA ligase III.
PNK is essential for maintaining genetic stability in human cells.
